So it's with a massive sigh of relief I'm FINALLY starting my blog. (Yaaay)

Listen this has been FOREVER in the making. I have started and stopped countless times before for various reasons.

I'd say that the main reason was that I genuinely thought... "who would want to read me thoughts?" And then I realised this was therapy for me. I enjoyed writing out my thoughts where I could later come back and read and reflect. So this is my journal if you will. My public journal of my random musings, thoughts, internal debates, and reviews whether it be music, products or treatments.

Now let me give you a little background on the name Regina Jaiy, and why my friends call me Steph even tho my name actually is Regina. (I confuse people all the time, don't worry)

Well first of all, I'm Nigerian so in the names department I'm pretty blessed, if you know what I mean. 😉 I was named Regina (after my grandma) Stephanie (by my mum) Jaiyeola (along with about 9 other names, but we won't go into that) but all my life my mum registered me as Stephanie in schools and called me Steph. I honestly think she preferred it in some ways and was slightly rebelling against the multitude of names I'd been named. Half the time I forgot my first name actually is Regina, unless I was travelling, at the doctors or applying for a job. So where did all this queen stuff come from you ask?

Well Regina means Monarch.

And since I'm Nigerian and my last name Jaiyeola means enjoy life in English, it only seems right to embrace and be proud of it.

I found the beauty in my name and and culture and embraced it, and now I to share that with you.

ReginaJaiy.com will be my place to vent and rant, praise and obsess and all in all have a good laugh. I believe you shouldn't take life too seriously, learn to laugh at yourself, trust me life has too many cringe moments for you not to.

So from one queen to another, join me on this journey and let's have a laugh.
