Even if you're not involved the big wide world of fashion you will still know the red headed wonder that is Vivienne Westwood. Her influence and wisdom first hit British fashion when she and her husband, Malcolm McLaren bombarded the British culture with the introduction of punk. Tartan, chains and spiked hair worked its way into the youth culture and is possibly the biggest phenomenon in British fashion: "I was messianic about punk, seeing if one could put a spoke in the system in some way" and that she did, creating pieces and runway shows that shocked and astonished the fashion community. She had a new take on punk and nothing was stopping her from here. Now, in 2015, she is still as artistic and unique has she was in her youth.

This women is idolized all over the fashion world for her pure wonderful, crazy and original take on everything in life. And to think she didn't even believe she could make a job in the fashion industry and actually dropped out of the arts school to teach children. The reason I admire her is purely due to her use of structure, colour and patterns in all her designs, She has created a sense about her pieces so that even if nothing on or surrounding the design states Vivienne Westwood we would all know that it was. That's power at its best.

Even at 73 years old she still graces the glossy pages of magazines and poses for the world’s most known photographers and has no shame in showing the world her body which I think in itself, is utterly creative and wondrous. Take a look at Juergen Teller's exhibition with Westwood for example. She has no shame in showing the world her naked body why should she? Vivienne Westwood is a confident, independent and astounding women and we all should take notice and go through life with same mind-set and look on the world as Westwood does.
