Welcome to the Dark Side

With the bright colours and haphazard patterns of summer behind us, it’s time to focus on what I consider the best time of year for everything, but mostly fashion. Autumn/winter brings forward the need for layering, experimental textures and most importantly, the mono tones of black and grey. Now for me, these elements of A/W style are just part of my all year round wardrobe but for others, it’s something they bring out to suit the winter chill but I think that we all need to embrace the simplicity and beauty that is the simple colour palette of black and white all year round.

For years dark clothing has had the label of goth fashion, but luckily, in the past 5 years, black has been given the re-vamp of slimming, chic and stylish and black has never looked better. You just have to stroll the blogging world for 5 minutes and see the countless posts about all black outfits and you’ll see that black is the new everything.

Nothing is more flawless, minimal and sexy than an all-black ensemble so I dare you all to join me and move into the dark side.
